I followed the link, but am having trouble visualizing how to get from point A (I have 29 static IP addresses that my router can access) to Point Z (each static IP has an address I can plug into sessionbox so each window has its own IP address). What you can do with your multiple static IP addresses, is setup your own proxy solution for all that IP addresses, after that, you can set them easily in Workstation."Īnd I apologize, but using docket containers went over my head. Well, here is exactly what they told me, "We can't change your network or any settings in your router. I emailed with sessionbox and they said I can use HTTP/s SOCKS or SOCKS5 to enter the proxies into the window, but they can't pull them directly from the router. For now I opted to rent their router since I hoped that would be the easiest for them if I have tech questions, but am open to any suggestions. I spoke with their tech support and they said that I can configure them myself (although I am not exactly sure how). I have no interest in renting them out to anyone else for us, I just want each profile to have its own dedicated IP address. So I need to figure out how to create a system where I can plug in an address to the profile so each profile will be assigned an IP.Īll the tutorials I found were extremely complicated (well beyond my limited abilities), but they were all geared so that you could take your static IPs, create a network and then RENT those IPs out to companies like Geosurf or BrightData. My ISP will include 20 static IP addresses with a business line but the browser needs an http/s SOCKS/5 address to attach an IP to the profile. Generally, people buy proxies from outside companies, but they charge often by the GB and that isn't good for me. Profile 2 is a different google account, with all its stored data and you can have both open at the same time, but when they are coming from the same IP address, it kinda defeats the purpose of having multiple profiles. You load up profile 1 and it is instantly logged into that google account with all stored data. The browser I am using (sessionbox) allows you to add a proxy per tab, so each browser instance will have its own specific IP address, fingerprint, cookie set, etc. There are lots of companies that sell proxies. Yes, generally a proxy is to use a different network to access the internet. if I missed it, I apologize, please feel free to call me an idiot and link me to what I missed. I did search before posting, but couldn't fine. Is there an easy solution here I am just overlooking? I just want to use them internally, but they will all be used on a single device with a browser called SessionBox Workstation. I saw one tutorial on creating a proxy network using raspberry pi, but that was mainly for creating a network where you could rent out your proxies for others to use. (Normally you would buy proxies from a place like geosurf, but I had bad experiences with a couple of those companies, so I would rather not deal with them). I need to create a proxy solution so that I can assign those IPs to specific windows in a browser designed to handle proxies. My ISP is going to be installing a new business line at my home with a batch of static IPs. I'm hoping this is probably way easier and I am overthinking it. u/RoweDent created this awesome resource on network theory u/tht1kidd_ has created a suggestion post regarding information everyone needs to provide when asking a question about their network There have been some excellent guides written in this sub, and we're always looking for more!
